The pediatricians heart swelled and drummed against his chest as his hand gently squeezed the other’s. This was it.. so close, so very very close and they’re each other’s forever. Boss had nearly spaced out looking onto Vee’s teary eyes unable to help wipe them away. “now to exchange the rings” the priest spoke a sort of wonderful wave of happiness as the Danish best man handed the ring to Boss. “repeat after me… with this ring…..” The priest recited, and the doctor repeated slipping the band on his fiance- no, Husband’s finger, fitting perfectly, so wonderfully. Boss’ forehead met Vee’s as his smile couldn’t falter through the exchange. Before it was Vee’s turn to exchange Boss had let out a soft whisper of ‘te amo’ unable to hold his heart away much longer. This was a tortuously sweet tease, so close to the defining kiss, the first kiss to share as Wedded husbands, as partners for life and forever more, all just a slip of the ring and blessing away. Boss was trying his hardest not to pull Vee into his arms and steal the kiss, though the wait, he knew, would make it so much better. Truly the two men were insuperable and after the ceremony they never will be regardless of how far they are during the day or night.

Carmella must have been paying attention as well, because just as Boss slipped on Vee’s ring she gave a kick. It wasn’t too hard of one, but it was enough for Vee to wince at. He repeated after the priest and slipped the ring Knives had given him onto Boss’ finger before placing that hand on his stomach for Boss to feel Carmella moving. The photographer, who had just been a doctor with a camera, started snapping pictures as the priest begun the ending: “By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and.. husband.”
