Boss did the same very happy with Vee’s cooking, smiling just as brightly when he received a kiss on the cheek. he leaned on his propped up arm happily “If you make lunch I’ll make you dinner” he said “speaking of what should I make you? name anything” he offered. He wanted Vee to keep smiling like he did, anything to make him smile and he’d do it.
Vee was a bit selfish. He wanted to cook dinner as well just so he could be praised and told what a good job he did or how happy he made Boss. But he also wanted to see Boss making him food too. “Mmm.. Surprise me! I want to eat more foods that Boss ate back home. And I want to learn to make those foods too!”
“hmm then Maybe I can teach you to make Albondigas tonight” He said with a smile, he was happy Vee wanted to learn about the food from his country, but he wanted to know more about Vee than what he did. He wanted to know all of Vee’s every want and make them come true.
“I’d like that very much!” The nurse gave another big smile, wheeling his chair close enough to Boss to rest his head on the other’s shoulder. They had about twenty more minutes before break was over, so Vee was going to soak up the time. “I told one of the elderly patients about you today.. I didn’t mention your name of course, and I had said you worked for a different hospital, but she was so excited to hear about you.” He giggled a bit, nuzzling against the shoulder. “She said to hold on tight before someone else snatches you up~!”
He smiled wrapping an arm around Vee resting his head on the nurse’s “haha~ It’ll take more than everything to take me from you, amor” he said kissing his forehead with a small laugh, “what else did you do today?”
Vee thought for a few moments. Most of his day so far was spent being scolded for a bunch of things. But he didn’t want to tell Boss that. “I was mostly in the elderly ward today as some sort of punishment. But I don’t see how that’s a punishment, since I got to hear a lot of cool stories! A lot of the older men were in wars and stuff! And the women had so many children — and I thought Italian families were big!!”

- Brother: I'm gonna go streaking in the kitchen.
- Me: ... Alright.
- Brother: Knock on your door if you need me.
Boss gave a light laugh “We’ll sneak into the kitchen later then” hes said looking at the Paella Vee made, smiling at the cute mispronunciation “I’m sure it’ll be as good as everything you cook, your hands are very skilled, amor”
He scooted close to the doctor, handing him a packet with a fork, spoon, knife and napkin before opening his own. “Dig in!” Vee waited for Boss to take the first bite, to see his reaction.
”gracias” he said taking the utensils handed to him and digging in the Spanish dish and taking a bite. He waited a small moment to keep the poor nurse waiting before giving him a smile “Its very good” he said taking another bite.
Vee smiled brightly, clapping a bit in celebration that his food was good as he gave a kiss to the doctor’s cheek. “Bene!” He dug into his own dish, happy that he could satisfy Boss’ pallet. His plate was quickly cleared all but licking it clean. They were only paper plates, so they could be thrown away instead of dragging them back to the kitchen to wash them. And that’s just what Vee did with his, threw it away when it was cleared. He patted his stomach before taking his seat again, his belly full and happy.
“I want to cook for Boss more.” There used to be an old saying Vee was told over and over again about how cooking for someone really showed how much you loved them. Even though he pretty much banned that thought between them, he couldn’t help but want to treat this like it was a full on relationship instead of just a fling.

Boss walked through his ward to rooms and other parts of it waking the children, giving them medicine and daily routine check ups as usual, he was smiling and cheerful with the children, he had to be. He was happy that him and Vee spent the morning, he was happy when his little joke about marrying Vee made him smile, but He knew that vee still thought differently than Boss.
He hated that Vee couldn’t see that he was never a ‘side’ fling, or even a fling at all.. he loves Chgi, deeply, yet its the same with Vee. He can’t help but love Vee as he did Chigi and vice-versa. He worked through the day thinking about Vee and a bit about Chigi and what they had before, though he pushed the thoughts down and away when the children were around. He checked up on the last patient before heading to his office a bit early to get a head start on the paqper work.
The nurse was a bit late with their lunch date, having been yelled at a few too many times today for being distracted. He couldn’t help it. Vee was pretty good at hiding his emotions and pasting on a big smile for everyone to enjoy, but his imagination took him a few places he didn’t want to go today. He spent most of his day in the elderly ward, taking care of them and listening to their stories of sweethearts passed or the lives they lived.
When it came time for lunch Vee did his best to make some sort of paella, attempting to give it a spanish feel to it. He had imagined Boss to maybe be with some patients, so he didn’t knock. Vee let himself in the doctor’s office, surprised to see Boss there. He frowned a bit. “I’m sorry I’m so late.. Dr. Awesome kept scolding me today, I didn’t have a lot of free time.”
He smiled facing him “Don’t be amor, Its alright I’m happy you came” he waved him over to sit next to him at his desk moving the files, closing them and making sure they were out the way for Vee. “next time I’ll do something for you during break, si?” He kissed The younger nurse’s cheek.
“Okay~ Then you can make plans for dinner.” The nurse smiled as soon as the kiss touched his cheek. He rolled the cart over, pulling the chair over to the other side of the cart. “I hope it tastes okay.. I’ve never made Paaella before..” He was still messing up on the pronunciation, but it was clear that he had been trying.

*Kisses down Boss’ front, getting on his knees on front of the doctor* Did you like my mouth the last time..? Or do you want me to try something different with it? *kisses the base of the head, looking up at the other*

You should get to one of the couches in the lounge area, so you have somewhere soft to lay down in case you banged up your brain.
*nods and quickly runs to a supply closet, grabbing a cooling pack and running back, placing it on the girl’s head*
*gently pats around before finding the bump* Oh no!! You need to get some ice on that!!

He smiled kissing the nurse again “then i will, because of you mi amor” he said happily taking one of vee’s hands in his kissing his knuckles. He enjoyed these little things with the nurse, and had to admit that he wouldn’t mind them more often in front of others but he couldn’t. He decided to look on the brightside, he was the only one who could see the smiles vee gives when they kiss.
It was a bit of a let down that Vee had forced Boss to keep him in the dark. But at the same time he liked knowing he saw Boss in private. That he didn’t have to hold back when he was with the older man because other eyes were on him. He could say and do whatever he pleased with the doctor when they were like this. A small giggle was given as he kissed Boss’ cheek. “Go save some lives today, okay? I’ll meet you in your office for lunch. I’ll make you something good to eat!”
Boss couldn’t help but grin “hmm~ already my wife?” he joked with a chuckle returning the kiss before putting on the rest of his clothes. He hugged Vee kissing his forehead “I’ll see you there amor, te-” he almost slipped “Te espero” He quickly fixed it to telling him he’d wait for him, he hoped Vee didn’t notice. With a red face he smiled “try your best today” he waved leaving the room for vee to get ready and him to wake the patients.
Vee waved goodbye to the older man, watching him leave. For a few moments he had kept a smile on his face, thinking about how Boss had called the nurse his wife. It made Vee really happy to think of himself as a spouse for the doctor. He’d get to do things he was really good at, like cooking and cleaning. He imagined three little kids running around the house with a baby on his hip, cooing as it watched Vee take care of the house.
That dream was soon shattered when he woke up and looked around the room. Just as soon as Boss had been here he had gone and the reality hit him. This was just an affair. It wasn’t going to be that white picket fence he had always dreamed of. It wasn’t going to be him that Boss married and raised children with. The nurse was just a side project until his real lover woke up. Vee supposed because he was alone maybe it was okay to let out a bit of that pent up sadness. He wiped at his eyes with one hand, the other rubbing at his lower back.
